Slippery Rock University Student Chapter

Slippery Rock University's APICS Student Chapter is strong and under the leadership of:

Advisor: Dr. Albena Iossifova, Assistant Professor of Management

This group of young men and women is an ambitious, professional organization that we are proud of.  The group is actively involved and shows that in a variety of ways:

(1) Attended professional development meetings and tours with both the Youngstown and Pittsburgh chapter affiliates.

(2) Attended the Region III conference in Columbus, during the weekend of February 17-18, 2006.  The students appreciated being asked for their input on how to improve the organization in both quality and numbers of members.  This interaction gave the students a greater appreciation for the conference and allowed them the opportunity to express their ideas to both their peers as well as the full-time, professional members.  The students also helped raise money for APICS by having Chinese, silent, and live auctions.

This student chapter of APICS has shown great interest in learning about this organization as evidenced by the dedication to making their chapter a viable presence at Slippery Rock University.
